Our Story

Suburban Construction, Inc. was founded in Bettendorf, Iowa, in 1985, by Brian D. Girskis. Prior to founding Suburban Construction, Inc., Brian worked for one of the largest siding and window manufacturers in America (Associated Materials Inc). Brian was quoted, "Before starting Suburban Construction, my experience exposed me to the fact that there was a real need for a full-service, quality local window, siding, and door retailer in eastern Iowa and western Illinois."

To date Suburban Construction has completed over 35,000 project installations. Most people are aware we have high-quality products and do quality work at fair prices. And, we guarantee our workmanship for a lifetime. We truly care! Our original office and showroom was located in downtown Bettendorf, Iowa, and served our needs for years. Due to tremendous growth, we moved Suburban Construction to our current office and huge showroom in Davenport, Iowa in 1997.

Suburban has one the most comprehensive showrooms of any retailer in our business between Chicago and Denver, and we constantly update our showroom to give our customers the best and most options in the industry. This is a reflection of what our customers said they wanted and our mission is to give customers what they want.

In Spring of 2021, Suburban relocated to 3602 North Harrison Street in Davenport Iowa. The move was 2 whole city blocks and encompuses a 30,000 sq foot complex! Suburban built a new showroom, training facility, workroom & shower facilities, breakroom/kitchen and HUGE warehousing operations. Sky's the limit for Suburban Construction with the updated facilities.

Suburban Construction is staffed by one of the most knowledgeable and dedicated group of professionals in the industry. JR Girskis praises his staff by saying "We are all like one big family and truly want to do what is best for the customer. Our staff stays up to date on the latest products to help better serve you."
